Maybe We Met
by Teri Sharp
Maybe we met in some other time,
When our lives touched this closely before.
Instinctively I know we were meant for each other,
For you love me as no one else could, and more.
I mirror your goals and share your dreams,
I have always loved you, or so it seems.
Maybe we met in another life,
Where we shared our joy and overcame strife,
Remaining strong when a lesser love would have let go,
Feeling a bond only those who truly love can know.
For the feelings between us run true and deep,
Filling our hearts as entwined we sleep.
Maybe we met in some long-forgotten land,
For you fulfill my desires as no one else can.
We share a love unmatched by none,
Our souls have no need to merge – they have always been as one.
