A Winter Fantasy
by Teri Sharp
Behold the snowflakes, spirits of the sky,
Icy creations of the Goddess, floating by.
I can tell they're part of her, by their bright form,
Delicate, yet intricate, currents joining to create a storm.
Each one has it's own individual pattern and shape,
As do our bodies, providing our souls with a protective drape.
See them sparkle, caressing and covering the earth,
As do our bodies, joining to give passion birth.
Their fall is as gentle as your touch upon my cheek,
Musically moving through the air like a bubbling creek.
As we lift our hearts to watch their crystal descent,
We revel in these children of winter, inhaling their icy scent,
Much as we revel in the beauty of our lovemaking,
Filling us with crystal fire, our souls shaking.
The trees sigh, and move a bit to accept their welcome weight,
Just as we nestle together as our passion starts to abate.
The snowflakes know that when they merge, they'll cease to be,
But they welcome their union, as I surrender my body to thee,
Knowing that, together, we're better than the sum of our parts -
Tendrils of love entwining our bodies, minds, souls, and hearts. |
