Every Time I See A Rainbow
by Teri Sharp
I saw a rainbow in the sky today -
A bridge for fairies, to reach the clouds and play;
An enormous span of brilliantly colored bands;
Leading from the seashore to the heavenly lands;
Dark blue, bright yellow, verdant green;
Reaching from earth to infinity, as far as can be seen,
My father once told me that rainbows were stairs that angels used to reach earth.
Now, every time I see a rainbow, I remember his words, and his smile;
And I feels as if he's with me again - at least for a while. |
