Come Into My Lair
by Teri Sharp
I'm a Mermaid - my home is beneath the crashing waves.
I've traveled the earth, resting in subterranean caves,
An irresistible siren, I've lain in hundreds of beds;
Lover of many a mortal man;
A connoisseur of engorged heads,
In passion, I'm fierce as the tiger - I claw!
I'm as damp as the earth in a dead man's jaw,
I've seen through the eyes of eagles & butterflies,
And called down thunder & lightning from the skies.
At my command, the lions have roared;
My scales are razor-sharp - I need no sword.
Am I flesh or fantasy? Seek the answer if you dare,
Dive deep into the diamond sea - come into my lair. |
