I Met A Fairy
by Teri Sharp
I met a fairy in the garden today,
An energetic fellow who delights in play.
Short in stature, about six inches tall,
He moves through the air with no effort at all,
Straightening leaves and caressing a flower,
Tending Mother Nature fills his every hour.
He loves all of creation, especially growing things,
And welcomes the rain for the sustenance it brings.
Happy and spontaneous, he has no worries;
There's so much to see, he doesn't walk, but scurries.
His body is the color of the forest, a deep green,
He has a teddy bear face where no frowns are ever seen.
He's covered head to toe in long, silky fur,
And moves so quickly he seems to blur.
His heart is a glowing center of gold;
He's pure sensation--he'll never grow old.
He comes straight to the point, no envy or fear,
Projecting love and laughter to all who come near. |
