Luxor, 3900 Las Vegas Boulevard South
In 1993 Luxor Hotel and Casino opened its doors with architectural design by Veldon Simpson. The pyramid-shaped casino/hotel was valued at $365 million and stood 32 stories high containing 2526 rooms and suites. In 1996, two tower additions were constructed by the same architect and boosted Luxor' s value to $665 million and added 2000 rooms, bringing the total to 4526 for this Egyptian-themed hotel. The Egyptian Ballroom is a blend of modern sophistication and ancient wonder, with 20,000 square feet of space that's easily adaptable to your every need. You'll also find Luxor' s convention services staff and catering capabilities to be fit for a pharaoh, ensuring your peace of mind and your event's success. The Luxor features endless entertainment from shows such as the stylistic Blue Man group to its arcade and spectacular night club, Ra.

October 15, 1993 - The Luxor, with 4408 Egyptian themed rooms and 120,000 square feet of casino space, is the second largest hotel in the United States. (The MGM Grand is the largest.) The Luxor opened in 1993. Built in a large pyramid rising 30 stories, the walls are slanted, balcony is inside, and the elevators go sideways at 39 degrees. The hallow core inside is the world's largest Atrium. From the Strip, you enter via a massive Sphinx. There is a large swimming pool surrounded by private cabanas and a 12,000 square foot spa. Pyramid Rooms - 2256 rooms with 236 Jacuzzi suites (two on each corner of every floor) in the Pyramid.
Tower Rooms - 1,948 rooms with 237 suites in the twin 22 story towers.
Jacuzzi Suites - The large Jacuzzi tub sits next to the window. Perfect for that romantic evening.
Mini Suites - King size bed, tub with spa jets. Located in the Towers.
